After the fun with playdough...

I soon realized that Michael had locked us out of the house, yet again. Yes, this has happened before. Luckily, the first time we had a spare key in the backyard. Unfortunately, this time our spare key had been lost since the first time, so we really were locked out. To top it off it was about 100 degrees outside and we had no shoes. Why is that bad? We have to walk around our long row of townhouses to get to our backyard and down a long road paved with black asphalt, which burned my feet so bad last time I got blisters.
We tried to cool off and entertain ourselves as long as possible, but with my work time quickly approaching, we had to get inside somehow.
So here we go again, I carried my two kids, one on each hip, and we ran down the asphalt. Tony wasn't able to come home from work and save us so we found a way inside.
Thanks to Michael for his bravery and almost too big of a head we got inside.

Yes, I had to squeeze Michael's head through the tiny window.

Good thing I left the chair there from making play dough.
Nice dirty feet from running on the asphalt, Michael insisted on doing it himself this time.
After searching through my purse he found the keys, climbed back up to the window and I opened the door.
What a way to end our play day...now it's off to work!
If you notice my posts usually happen on Thursday or Friday. I have those mornings to play with my kids until I go to work in the evening.
Let's hope all goes well today!

I can't believe Michael was able to climb up and down and get your keys. I like that you didn't have keys, but you had the camera to document the whole event.

Twice while we lived in SLC we locked ourselves out and had to climb in the kitchen window (2nd story mind you). Scott would boost me with his hands and then I would sort of stand on his shoulders and try to climb in. We were always in our pajamas and I'm sure our neighbors thought we were nuts.
